Debbie Kahn, LCSW

My approach to counseling is to bring a strong therapeutic relationship tailored to your needs and goals in a safe, non-judgmental, nurturing environment where healing can begin. I am passionate about working together to learn new tools for change when feeling overwhelmed, distressed, or just stuck. My experience includes working in a mental health agency, schools, and church settings. My professional interests and clinical experience include depression, abuse, trauma, communication issues, and spiritual guidance.

My goal is to create a caring environment with an invitation to go deeper in one’s personal story in order to find healing. Therapy focuses on discussing past and current patterns and coping skills to help bring about greater self-awareness and an ability to problem-solve more effectively in the future.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  I received my Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work at Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have also received additional specialized training in narrative trauma therapy through The Allender Center at The Seattle School of Psychology and Theology.
