Ariel Goodman, LSW
I am passionate about forging deep and genuine connections with people at every stage of their lives and supporting them as they navigate challenges in relationships, life transitions, and feelings of disconnect. My therapeutic style is conversational, exploratory, person-centered, and based in using and developing one's existing strengths to initiate change.
I have spent the last decade working with a wide range of people in varied life stages: I began my career in community mental health supporting people experiencing chronic homelessness, then worked as a program director with young adults in a nonprofit setting. More recently, during training for my Master's in Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago, I worked on resettlement services for newly-arrived refugees, followed by individual therapy with young adults in a community college setting. When I am not at Be Well Counseling & Wellness, I am serving as a school social worker in Chicago. I enjoy working with people of all ages, with a special focus on those experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma histories, and difficulty navigating life transitions.
