Daniel Rizzardini, MSCP, MBA, LCPC
I specialize in relational therapy for couples, and families, men’s mental health as well as aging, retirement, and life transition challenges. I also work with business partners struggling with strategy and leadership conflict.
Couples relationships are, at their core, comprised of companionship and intimacy. Whenever there are difficulties in either area, the relationship suffers. This might be from recurrent communication issues, infidelity, finances, sexual disconnection, etc. Deepening the connection of companionship with the joy of intimacy creates the space for lifelong, transformative partnering.
Family therapy addresses lack of closeness, trauma, and life transitions. No one family member is responsible for difficulties; everyone contributes. Therapy shifts perception from blaming to understanding, allowing a deeper, satisfying connection.
Adult therapy is rooted in finding the pathway to a satisfying life. This is complicated by marital conflict, parenting pressures, career dysfunction, past regrets, shame, trauma, etc. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, substance reliance, and poor self-care are all outcomes of a disconcerting life. Therapy can uncover the reasons for distress and aid in navigating the discovery of self-acceptance.
With 30 years of corporate experience, I am all too familiar with the damage caused by poor leadership. Finances suffer, employee morale falters, and customers become dissatisfied. Resolution of deeply held, conflicting values can repair executive disputes, and align corporate strategies.
I meet people where they are, accepting them and giving them a place to be heard, understood, and respected. I am not out to fix nor judge; to shame or place blame, but rather to help people to find their own paths to the quality of life they choose as their own.
I employ Emotionally Focused, Gottman, Imago, and Couples Sexuality techniques, CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Domestic Violence Counseling.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and an MBA from the Quinlan School of Business: Loyola University Chicago.
