Paige Carlson, LSW
Life can be challenging at times, let me assist you with having a safe space to process your thoughts, experiences, and emotions.
I’m passionate about working with children and teenagers and have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-education, and Trauma-informed care. I enjoy adding elements of mindfulness and progressive muscle relaxation into my sessions. If your child/teen is struggling with behaviors at school or home; anxiety, depression, communication difficulties, or unresolved trauma please do not hesitate to reach out. I would love to assist your child or teen towards healthier coping skills.
I also, have experience working with adults and families and bringing families together through teaching and practicing different communication techniques, team building activities, and processing past experiences.
I’m a Licensed Social Worker who has nearly 5 years of experience working in emergency shelters, working with Domestic Violence victims, a mental health hospital, various care provider roles, and as a therapist. I have experience conducting individual therapy, group therapy for adults and children, and community advocacy (school, court, etc.)
I tend to take a relational and holistic approach to my care and like to begin by building a bond and trust. I will meet your child/teen where they are at, bond with them, and begin the most beneficial treatment based on their needs and the whole picture. I understand the importance of keeping parents/caregivers informed and will vow to provide the most up to date information to appropriate parties.
