Jennifer Kewith, LSW, Candidate
Jennifer has a special place in her heart for dementia caregivers who are feeling overwhelmed. Caregiving is demanding work that often comes at a quiet cost to one's own emotional and physical well-being and those experiences deserve to be seen and validated. She brings warmth, empathy, and deep personal understanding to this work, informed by her own journey as a dementia caregiver.
Jennifer's experience includes supporting individuals and families affected by grief, Lewy body dementia, anxiety, childhood trauma, developmental disabilities, and young adults navigating questions of identity and self-worth.
Jennifer uses a collaborative, strengths-based approach that views clients as the experts in their own lives. She works alongside clients to identify goals, explore meaningful solutions, and build on existing strengths. She values transparency, shared decision-making, and creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Prior to her social work training, Jennifer brought meaningful life experience as a dementia caregiver, parent, grief educator, and school paraprofessional, all of which inform her compassionate, client-centered approach. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate grief while finding hope, meaning, and resilience through life's changes.
In her own life, Jennifer practices what she encourages in others, tending to herself through painting, baking cookies, quilting, glamping, spending time in nature, and listening to music.
Jennifer is a Master of Social Work (MSW) advanced standing student intern at Aurora University, working with individuals and couples under clinical supervision. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where every client feels truly understood and empowered in their healing journey.
